So the motherboard has 6.1 and the sound card i'm going to be using is 7.1 so could I buy enough speakers to utilize a 13.2 system?

I dont think you can set it up to use both of the sound outputs....its either one of the other.

yeah when you insert the card the onboard will be disabled and even if u did you would get good quality sound iin some and get bad in others
