Hi everyone,

Recently I was working on a PowerEdge 350 Dell server. I was asked to hook up two monitors to the server. So I plugged two video cards into the server and hooked up the two monitors. Nothing is displayed on either of the monitors. I have tried to switch both the cards but still nothing displayed. But when I plug one Video card only I get a display on the monitor.

I would greatly appreciate any help. by the way both the video cards are PCIs.

Thanks in advance... :?:

Unless the machine has SLI (Which the dell 350 doesn't) you cannot plug more than one vid card into it. The reason you get nothing with both vid cards in the machine is because the bios isn't set up to handle that.

The best way to set up dual monitors is to get a single video card that supports dual monitors (virtually any nVidia made in the last couple of years)

Unfortunately, the vast majority of these are going to be AGP cards, not PCI cards.

Aside from buying a PCI vid card that supports dual monitors, I don't think you're going to be able to do it with a poweredge 350.
