Upgrading or Adding Ram to my Laptop

just got an Acer Aspire 3620 similar spec to the link below but with 40G and 256MB DDR2 Ram only....

now i want to throw in maybe another 256MB or more but i'm unsure of the type of memory... now i know its a 200pin memory slot but can anyonw tell me if i can throw in normal DDR modules to this? should it be ok?
