usb hdd fails to show up in disk management

Cannot access usb hdd (iomega prestige drive-inside is a seagate drive 500gb) . running win xp service pack 2. Tried swapping ports, power brick, usb cable and pc. Still fails, drive spins up ok. Drive is less than 2 years old. Any suggestions/help is appreciated.

If it's not seen in disk management, chances are it's dead. Try another PC.
