i have a Toshiba satellite laptop. i've only recently been having a problem w/my USB ports. it doesn't read my card reader or my flash drive. i've tried plugging both of them into ALL of the ports to no avail. i plugged in my mouse and it works but not quite like it's supposed to. it's very slow on the uptake, like it's asleep or something whenever i don't move it for about one minute.

this is really inconvenient and i'm hoping someone will give me good news and tell me it's something i can fix myself. lemme know if you need more info.

THANKS!

Did you look in the device manager to see if there was a conflict?

you may want to try updating the drivers for your motherboard.
you can find out the motherboard model with CPU-Z and then go to the manufacturers website and find your drivers, download/install and reboot. :]

if you're unsure about it because the device manager doesn't show any conflicts, that's not a good reason not to. i've had a few drives not working at all recently that didn't show conflicts but a driver update to the motherboard fixed the problem.

the OP hasn't posted back as to what he/she tried, what has worked/failed, etc. and you're purely re-saying the help that was already given. and the last post was made ~1 month 1 week ago. kinda seems like the point of your post was merely because you like typing :]

are you kidding me....

you should stop saying the same thing over and over on the same post.
its not actually helping anything but your number of posts, which is still very modest so i dont see the point.
