Ok, so I ended up buying a wireless router, which came with a wireless adapter because it was so cheap from newegg a while back because they came as a package for only 49.99$! Yay for newegg. Here are the two items:

So anyways, my problem is that my USB wireless adapter loses connectivity or cuts out nearly every 2 minutes or so. It is very very annoying. It reconnects right away, but cuts out for 3 second intervals or so every 2 minutes about.

I got so fed up with it, I resorted back to my PCI wireless G adapter. My question is this? How do I fix this intermitting loss of connectivity with the USB adapter if there is a fix? Or am I better off going for a PCI 108mbps card? Thanks for all your help and info.

Reading Newegg reviews of the USB adapter show that you are not alone. About half of the 15 reviews were negative. A couple mentioned intermittent disconnects (one claims the pins don't match up right), drivers are buggy and it doesn't support WPA2. Based off those reviews I think I would have passed it up. Also mentions low connection speeds.

Yeah, the router is what I wanted more than the usb adapter, but my mindset in thinking was that 'hey for such a great deal, might as well spend 10-15$ more for an adapter...'

Maybe i'll pawn it off on my parents and get a diff. 108Mbps pci card instead.
