I hope I posted this in the right forum, I just purchased a digital camera and wanted to know whats the best video editing software that is out there thats not in the high price range. I can transfer video with windows movie maker but there has to be something better then that so im asking what others recommend.

I have use Windows Movie Maker too And after the final video i made a note to my self "Never use windows movie maker again" But off that subject i would recomend http://www.pinnaclesys.com/ it does cost but it cand also be found in the box with a dvd burner or mini dv editing box including the ieee1394 cable, fireware card, and the software.

InterVideo Win Cinema is pretty good. You can pick-up a trial copy for free. Check out http://www.phazeddl.com to find a download of the trial. WARNING: That site does have illegal copies and a lot of spam! It also has the good legal stuff.
