wake on lan set-up

hey mate:can i get some help on setting up wake on lan. i have a netgear network adaptor(with wol) installed in my desktop except for the wire which on the motherboard there was no place to plug in(so the company told me to just leave it)i have a ipaq with terminal services and remote desktop all set-up and functioning.desktop runs windows xp pro.so what do i need to download software to wake my desktop anyplace with my handheld ipaq? jack

If this doesn't help, then do a google search for: "enabling wake on lan setup" (without the quotes) and keep looking.

If your motherboard doesnt have the anywere to connect the WON cable to then I dont think it will be possible in your situation.
