I hav a Seagate 500GB sata ST3500820AS(OS drive) + Seagate 160gb
I had installed windows XP-sp3 few months ago.
Decided to partition remaining 180 GB's of the drive(500GB) later.

See the pictures... I am unable to UNdelete(using partionMagic) or allocate the UNallocated partion.
The option "New Partion..." is grayed out in Disk Management. :ouch:

Any suggestions APPRECIATED.

PS:I always screw with service(in administrative tool). Did I disable some service???

You have too many primary partitions on that drive. You need to set-up an extended partition with multiple logical partitions inside of that.

you can create only one primary partitions and three secondary partitions after that you can create a extended partitions

go to the disk management from the device manager .

right click on my computer select the device manager after that select the disk management .

you can see all the partitions in the computer after that you can create a new extended partitions as you want so that you can create logical partitions inside the extended partitions.
