ATI cards are much better then nvidia for 3d rendering by a long shot. Nvidia cards are usualy only a tiny bit better for games. Another downside to nvidia is that their cards are realy loud. I have the radeon 9600pro 256mbs and i love it.

You crack me up ,That statement from you about Nvidia shows me you have no idea about the current state of video cards ! you you need to learn alot more about them before you tell people whats ...what ! lol

First off a graphics card is a big deal now (with any system )
and both of those choices just is not going to cut it .

These is only to help ! I would not go near anything last generation !!
thats low in core ,and memory
These are my choices if you are on are bare bone money minimum,
for what is going to work in 2004 as a low ball just making the cut .lol

Ati choice =1st one is low side $ ,2nd one is high side $

Nvidia choice=1st is low side $ ,2nd one is high side $

And still ,ATI came out with the X600,to compete with Nvidia's 6600
both cards are priced right .

6600GT, $200 , and 6600, $150 ,,won't be out till 1st of Sep.

beings is correct. Them image quality of girlfriend is lacking.

Back to the topic the radion 9600 is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH faster than the GF5200. Take a look at the benches its twise as quick: http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphi ... ts-12.html

The old girlfriend Ti card that I have are on a par or faster than a girlfriend FX5200!!!!!
