RAM is like the amount of cash you have in your pocket.
A Hard Drive is like your bank account.

Make sense ?
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

Tools are like programs.

Hard drive space is like a tool box.

RAM is the tool bench where you use your tools.

The bigger the bench (more RAM), the more and varied programs can be run at one time.

Hard drive is the amount of data that can be saved on your computer in total. RAM is kind of like a buffer for some programs. RAM is a lot faster the hard drive memory. It temporarily holds certain bits of information that needs to be quickly processed. The more processes you run at one time, the more additional RAM can increase performance. RAM has different speeds ddr is slower then ddr2. There's a lot more info I can tell you but if your a newbie it'll probably confuse you. If your ready for more just ask.

JPEG also commonly called jpg is a very common image format especially for graphics. Its a compression format. Typically the more you save it the more compressed it gets. BUT compression isn't always a good thing for you. The more compressed the image is the greater the loss of detail will be. Use "Save for Web" in photoshop or similar programs to optimize your jpg images with highest compression and best image detail. Again, if you want more info just ask.
