I have this and I love it. Never had a single issue with it and it is going on 3 years old. I am not a gamer though so things like dot pitch and max reolution don't concern me but I liked the monitor and it was recommended by a couple of my friends so I bought it.

The FX-57 is clocked at 2.8Ghz compared to the FX-55's 2.6Ghz.

Also, the Western Digital Raptor would be better as a primary drive as it has faster access times.

The GeForce 7 Series would also be better than the X850.

I find it strange that for a "gaming" PC, people are recommending HUGE hard drives. If all your using it for is gaming then why not go with a smaller faster hard drive such as the raptor or a scsi.

Some game sizes are getting out of control.

Personally I would not go with a raptor until WD makes the second generation one available. Second, when they replace a defective drive now, they give you a refurbished part. That's BS. I absolutely REFUSE to allow any refurbish or sub-par parts into my system.
I pay a lot of money and I will only give my business to companies that respect me and my systems. I had to replace a hitachi drive and they *asked* me first if it was okay that they give me a refurbished drive and I said, "Absolutely not, I prefer a brand new oem drive." They had no problem and sent me the drive, brand spanking new.
If I bought a refurbished drive and it broke under wrranty, sure give me a refurbished drive. But when I pay for brand new and your company is at fault when it fails, I expect a brand new drive. Wasn't my fault that it failed, I shouldn't get any less than what I paid for.

A smaller drive for gaming is indeed the best idea. I am building a rig and tweaking it for gaming right now and I tell you it is a great way to learn. 2 gig ram, 40 gig HD, PCI express (dual preferred) and a fast CPU are "must haves" and if you can, through a decent sound card into the mix!

I agree that game sizes are getting quite big but it still doesn't call for a 200GB hard drive. When I did play PC games I would have one maybe two installed at a time. Once I was done with the game I uninstalled it.

I use my machine for more than just games, besides when I do finally get some 10k rpm drives they will be smaller.

Can't say I go for big HDD's. Prefer small capacity drives myself but thats also because I dont do alot of gaming so therefore don't require large amounts of space.

I only have a 250Gb Hdd. I have 54% free space on it. If I get less than 30% free space then I'll try to actively delete stuff I don't need. If that doesn't work I'll just get a second 250Gb.

Gigabyte already has a dual core card, someone posted about it here somewhere.

Yeah it was a Dual 6600 and didn't perform that great. A single 6800 beat it out.

Asus was going to go for a dual 6800 but then scratched it for a dual 7800GTX.
