Listen people I have a little problem here because I have a dumb dell PC and I want to buy a video card but I only have a PCI slot. Does anybody know a good PCI video card that will work nice with games like Call of Duty 2, NFS: Carbon, Most Wanted and like that. I would really appreciate for any informantion. Thank You.

Its just a PCI, no PCI-Express or AGP? You probably have an integrated video card then, and then you have to get a new mobo.

But there are PCI video cards. What I want to know is if someone knows a good PCI video card because I don't want to change my whole motherboard it would cost me too much.

Because there really aren't any good PCI Cards for the type of gaming you want to do.

I recommend HIS Radeon X1300PCI 256mb, lowprofile, passive cooling. It's enough for playing NFS Carbon and CoD2 on 800X600 and low graphics settings.

You need a PCI graphics card that support DX9

PCI came before AGP 1.0 , then 2.0 then agp 4x etc,

Then PCIe ,, all computers now are PCIe ,, if their new that is.

Your basically doing a poor mans upgrade,

Any PCI card especially dat crappy x1300 ,, will run your nfs and cod game in slow motion,,,

I dont recommend getting a PCI card, cuz its gonna run cheap as heck,

If your system is PCI , I bet the CPU blowz goat too,

But if you insist, then you need to get the top PCI card, which really doesnt exist, lol

Actually your statement is incorrect, I've had a Dell dimension with a PCI Fx5200 and it ran battlefield on all low on 1024 x 768

It lagged a few times But thats because of the Ram and Processor.
Now depending on his computers specs he might have a decent dell ( lol oxymoron )

So lets see what he has.

if your going with games, i say put your own system together and get away from dell or brand name junk computers,
make your self a nice strong system and know what you put in there, and PCI is not as bad as you think ;)
