depends on what you want out of them.. they both are good but the XFX GeForce 6600 GT / 128MB has newer features like:
CineFX 3.0 Engine
UltraShadow II Technology
64-Bit Texture Filtering and Blending
Intellisample 3.0 Technology

versus just
CineFX Engine
UltraShadow Technology
Intellisample Technology
and NO 64-Bit Texture

those are some insane prices tho

It's a Canadian website. We're not fortunate enough to have cheap prices on technology.

As for the comparison between the two cards, the GeForce 6600 GT is way better for gaming. The 5700 is a few generations old and is definitely not worth that price.

I dont know the currency conversion rate on Canadian $ and US$ but i found the XFX GeForce 6600 GT for $229.99 USD instead of $310.99 on tigerdirect.com

Are you sure you are looking at the AGP version? The PCI-E version is much cheaper right now.

Easy the girlfriend 6600 128MB is the better of the two..

would wait a few weeks when the new nForce 4 motherboards are out for AMD.. they'll have PCI-E, some with have Dual PCI-E, so that if u want to later you can install a 2nd GF6600 (won't work with the FX5700) and run two video cards are slightly slower then GeForce 6800 Ultra speeds.

You can overclock the two 6600 cards to get the same clock speed as a 6800 with ease and half the price ( well, near enough, but not quite :P )
