I dont get it demonmaestro, if business want to have performance machine, why do they get Intel if AMD is for performance? Ive sensed a syntax error in there mate.

I'm holding in my hand, at this moment, an Intel Pentium Processor, 166Mhz. Now THIS was the best processor ever.

I've heard from some places that the Core 2 Duo is better than the X2. Can anyone here actually tell me what the main difference is, other than price? I'm also going to be building a new machine soon and have yet to select a motherboard/processor.

I think that the X2's have a great performance isto price ratio. You get a pretty good performance in not a lot of money while for the Intel you have to spend quite alot.
