Hi guys n Gals.

Have a amd 2600 machine currently running on a gigabyte 7n400-L mother board, dual channel 400mhz.

i have a kingston 512 2700 chip currently installed.

the issue i sent my lady friend to pick up another stick of ram and she cam back with some corsair twin 256.

description below

512MB TWINX-2700(333MHz) DDR RAM"Corsair" 2xCMX256A-2700LL DIMMs, Tuned pair for new DUAL CHANNEL RAM motherboards (nForce 2 and Intel E7205 chipsets) Ultra Low Latency (2-2-2-5) 100% tested at 166MHz Integrated aluminium heat spreader 184-pin DIMMs CAS 2

My question is will this work and which slots do i install what in.

It should work, but since they're difference brands I can't tell you for sure. You can always try it. :)

Your motherboard manual should specify the slot your second RAM should be installed in.
