Hey Everyone,

We have an old Winbook XL2 with a cracked screen. The plan was bring it to a show and plug in an external monitor and problem solved. But there is no VGA plug in the back.

There is a plug though, that looks like a docking station plug-in and we are looking to see if it's still around.

Does anyone know if docking stations were sent out with this model back in the day so a different monitor could be used with it?

As it stands we are going to use the other laptop that the road sales guy uses for the show and he will need to deal with it. I can't find anything on google about docking stations for this model laptop. I have checked with a co-worker downstairs who has been here 5 years and he found the same information out that I did so figured the forum is the place to go.

Unfortunately we are unlikely to get a laptop for shows with a nice display and a current machine.

I just figured throw the topic out there and see what others might think ...

The docking station is not needed .... Apparently there is a cover on the back with an external VGA port. Three of us missed it here so I guess you learn something everyday.

The funny thing is it does not even look like a cover, it looks more like an air vent for this dinosaur ...

Ahhh gotta love old computers built before I owned a computer ...
