I have just reinstalled WinXP onto my primary drive after backing all my data up to a secondary drive which up until the reinstall was working fine.
However after the reinstallation Explorer cannot see the second drive.
The second drive is a Maxtor Diamond max 200GB ATA.

Things I've tried:
Checked the BIOS to verify the drive is listed.

Checking System / hardware shows the drive to be working correctly, but going to the admin tools / computer management shows a drive letter has been assigned but the disk is classed as 'dynamic' but unreadable.

I really cannot afford to lose the data on the drive, so what can I do to fix the problem?

Right click the drive in Computer Management

What options are you given?

Did you implement dynamic disk on it before reinstalling?
