Apologies for some of the termonlogy used in advance as I am not a expert :D .

I have a Bauer Mini laptop, model WWW107 running XP home

It will not start or run from the battery at all :? . The battery is a LI-ION M1000-BPS3 11.1V - 24Wh.

I've loaded and installed the program, BatteryCare (batterycare dot net) and it reports 100% charge. There is a green light that also lights up on the laptop itself indicating battery present.

It is a great laptop and everything works really well when plugged in. As soon as you take the mains lead out, it immediatly shuts off. I can't see any settings in BIOS about battery or CMOS (as per previous posts). I guess the laptop's internal battery must be working as clock/date settings are always right.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? Is there a way to properly test the battery?

Any help is really appreciated

sounds like the battery is dead, it is still passing a charge through but it is not charging. You may need a new one. Then it will become portable again.
