Alright somehow the issue with my x700 pro when playing source just disappeared when day...Anyway now it runs like gold. But I am unsure whether it is running at the rate it is suppose to run at.

My comp specs are:
X700 pro 128gddr3
512mb ram
120gb Samsung hdd
3200+ AMD 64

I play at med settings with 2XAA and 8X AF and my frame rate say during the map de_dust source is only 21-46 fps. And when I turn textures to high all hell breaks lose and my fps drops to 12-20 fps. Is my GFX card performing as it is supposed to?

My inquiry was sparked when my friend told me he could run CS: Source with all settings at high with no AA and AF but still get 40 fps with a Radeon 9250 128 gddr.

Any kind of oppinion would be very much appreciated! :D

Turn AA and AF off. Your fps will increase dramatically if you dont have them turned on.

my old 6800NU is only a bit more powerful than the x700.

I had to play the game with most settings on medium-high and AA/AF turned off. but i did have a crap cpu at the time. You should be happy with what you've got it at. I would take AA and AF off tho, and bump the textures to high.

I turned off AA and AF and everything else maxed out. I got around 60-120 fps but it was kinda weird, because although the fps was high i experienced sudden random pauses...it wasnt due to choke though. Is it because of the fact that i only have 512 of ram?

Thanks,
Liiiiiiiiiimbooooooo
