Hey I have a virtual dedicated hosting account, so I have access to WHM and all that fun stuff. Anyway I was wondering if there is a way to add a user to an existing cpanel account. Right now there is the one admin user but I wanted to know id there is anyway to add another becuase I want an extra account so someone could access the file manager on there.

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

I just looked through the latest demos for WHM and DOP at the CPanel website. Doesn't look like it's possible.

Is there any reason why the person can't use an FTP account ?

Do you mean you want multiple users to login to cpanel? Unfortunately it's not possible. You can create additional users for FTP and Email access though.

If you want to add new account, you can do so easily using WHM but you cant create different WHM login account which can be shared with someone else.

It sounds like a reasonable plan to me. We do something similar -- four people have root and we are suppossed to log into our own root account and "su -" to root so that there is at least some trail to what is going on.

What are the specific reasons that he wants root? Are they things you could accomplish with "sudo" (despite your not liking it)?
