Does anyone know if there is a highly respected association for Hosting companies?

Or is there a highly respected company that gives awards to hosting companies for outstanding service?

Unfotunately no and sadly most awards are bought and paid for.

I am not saying every award is done this way, but, I have yet to run into a hosting directory that didnt have a price on such items.
