Hi,

I'm installing Apache in a Win Xp Pro SP2 machine to run as a web server. I want to use a limited account on XP to run Apache under for security, but my question is should I use one of XP's default account types or specify my own account?

Should I use Xp to say that the account is not allowed access/read only access to certain files and directories?

Cheers

As a general rule (regardless of the OS);

NEVER USE A DEFAULT ANYTHING, especially an account.

If you make one from the ground up, you will know what the permissions are -- more importantly, what they are *not*.

Cheers.
