i am just sitting here doing some data entry on this online store and wondering if i was to say get 4-5 domain names and then copy the files over to each account but then set the mysql back to the main shop so when i make a change on the main site then it applies to all of them giving me less to manage and more shops to broadcast.

just thinking aloud on this one and just wondering if it is as simple as i think it is?

I haven't tried it but I think its possible especially if you want to run some A/B testings on your online shop to see what seems converting or not.

Off the top of my head, I would look into having all of the sites share the store inventory DB tables, while still having their own config/etc tables. Simply using the same DB for each site is likely to cause issues with domain-specific settings, shopping carts, etc.
