can't send e-mails

Hi,
i am so sorry i am not very fimiliar with web stuff and these terms. i have a mail server... i am using eudora (tried with outlook also). problem is i can receive e-mails fine but cannot send out e-mail. WHEN I TRY TO SEND, IT SAYS 'CANNOT CONNECT TO SERVER... CONNCTION TIMED OUT'

CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE ??

Hello kinu85,

A few things to try:

1) Check with your web host and see if they require smtp authentication on outgoing mail server - then make sure you have the settings they recommend
2) check with your ISP and ensure that they allow relaying through port 25 - if they do not, you cannot use your ISP to send mail via a 3rd party mail server (ie your host) - if this is the case, ask your ISP for their outgoing mail server info and simply use this information in your mail client vs your hosts info.
