Will you take a few seconds and help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot access my IP or Domain. It times out.

However, the company that hosts the server says they can access the site.

So, if you could copy & paste the following:

http://www.footballnflplayers.info

and

208.69.231.157

Please let me know where (what country / state) you are trying to access the IP and domain and if you got the
A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out"
or you if were able to access the site.

Thanks

Hi,

I can get into the site, both by using the domain name and the IP, from Edinburgh/UK.

Thanks!

Here is the problem.

I have other domains and IPs with this host and they are all accessable except this one always times out and shows page cannot be displayed or cannot reach server.
So, if figured the domain is not accessable on the internet.

Also, I can only upload files through the control panel.

If I try to use a FTP engine it will time out

and the crazy thing is the other IPs and domains work fine and they are all on the same server.

... and the support team (in the U.S.) say the domain and IP are OK.

Anyone ever experience this or have any suggestions?

Both work fine. Tested from Pennsylvania USA. The problem is most likely with your ISP. Check with them. Interesting site, btw.

well did traceroute or ping the ip or domain ? what ISP are you using? some ISP has transparent proxy web installed. which means you are getting information from the web proxy rather than the actual web hosting server.

here is one way of testing the domain. try telnet the server port 80.
see if you get some response. if timed out, may be you have to contact your local ISP (the provider who provide your local internet access, some one may mix hosting provider and local ISP up). if ok, what sort of error message do you see on screen? if you see something like "squid xxxx", that probably show you your isp is using a transparent proxy to save bandwidth (esp. overseas bandwidth) in both cases you have to talk to your ISP. i hope this help
