CGI, Perl and IIS 6.0

I have a windows server 2003 with IIS 6.0
I installed active Perl to allow perl script and CGI script to run.
I installed it and gave permission exactly as written.
Do I always have to refer to the CGI-Bin when I refer to the script in the URL? Is there a way people avoid this?

I don't see most site going:
http://www.myhost.com/cgi-bin/test.cgi
