Configure the FTP and Web site in my server

Hi, we bought new server. we plan to host all the web application in our server. For the new server operating system Windows Server 2003 is installed. we got the lease line from ISP with domain name as well as IP address.

In the new server we installed web application it is working fine in locally with IP address.

my question is i want to configure with lease line and domain name to run our web application to access all the user in the world.

we never any control panel s/w in my new server.

can please guide me how to step up the website and FTP in our server.

Either install IIS or Apache web server software for access to the web site. I don't know what FTP server software is available with Windows 2003 Server but you would configure that for uploads if you aren't in the same location as the server itself. If everything is being done through your ISP, I imagine that you will be using their nameserver to resolve the domain to an IP address.

I Installed IIS for my web site.my web site developed in .net platform.

yesterday i got new idea abt to configure the FTP and Web site in my server. I found that article. This is article they never mention any separate s/w required for configure the FTP in the server for web site.

I didn't know if the software was already there or not. Apparently, it is but it has to be installed and the service started.
