Do cPanel subdomains automatically redirect by default? I just created this subdomain name:

http://hurlbert.xona.com/

and it redirects to

http://www.xona.com/hurlbert/

Does this redirect always take place by default?

What's funny is that I want this redirect to take place, as I do not want to use the subdomain at all! I actually only want to use the http://www.xona.com/hurlbert/ URL with a unique FTP login that has only access to the hurlbert folder. I did this by creating the hurlbert subdomain knowing that I could create an FTP account that would have that exact restriction. So it worked out well!

I've not seen that myself before unless the directory physically did not exist on the account when the subdomain was created is the only thing I can think of that might cause that.

BTW: you could have also created another ftp user account and specified the directory hurlbert as that ftp accounts login dir.
