Hello, I have a client who needs osCommerce online store. But I hadn't made e-commerce site.

I installed osCommerce and I've been trying to set up the payment.
The client only wants to have Credit Card payment.

The default setting shows Authorize.net,Credit Card,Cash on Delivery,iPayment,Check/Money Order,NOCHEX,PayPal,2CheckOut,PSiGate,SECPay as Payment Modules. But I actually don't know which I should choose.

I guess I should choose at least one credit card-based payment processing services, have a contract with it and install the payment module... I'm not sure I'm in a right way.

And I'm not familiar with those processing services in my country(Japan). But my client is in UK and the online store is in English.

Could anyone tell me which service will be appropriate?
I appreciate all help.

You absolutely need to choose the option that your customer is currently using. For instance if they use Paypal and 2checkout then you have to choose those gateways for things to work. I do recommend both Paypal and 2co.

i recommend 2checkout.com although paypal is much friendlier but 2checkout.com has higher security.

Have your customer call up Worldpay, they are located in the UK and can help him with payment services.

2checkout has lower rates than paypal, it also allows customers to purchase products/services from you using virtually any major credit card.

Credit cards and PayPal are the most popular methods of payment. Usually web hosting companies (A2hosting.com, Hostgator.com, [banned domain], etc.) offer this. But unfortunately PayPal isn't accepted in some countries. I mean you can't pay via PayPal from some countries.

Paypal is a great and widely used payment system, but like stated by others can not be used by everyone. Google checkout is relatively new but from my experience is rather usefull, however your billing system does not support it, it seems. other then that I would recommend 2CO

Paypal isn't accepted everywhere, that's the only minus.

Do this search:

2checkout vs paypal (don't worry it won't show you anything more than opinions as this thread is destined to do)

Then check out all the features at both and decide.
