Hi,

Im deciding on my hosting packages and am thinking of offering the following. I want to be extremely competitive but not be sooo low that people leave because they think its too good to be true. Im looking for the perfect middle ground that is really competitive and attractive but not scaringly low. I am thinking something like the following:

Money Saver
$3
1GB of Storage
5GB Bandwidth

Basic
$4
5GB of Storage
15GB Bandwidth

Standard
$6
10GB Storage
40GB Bandwidth

Deluxe
$7
20GB Storage
60GB Bandwidth

Ultimate
$15
100GB Storage
300GB Bandwidth

these all come with unlimited ftp, php, mysql, e-mail, etc and w/cPanel

What do you think?

Thanks,
The CodMan

In my eyes, the Space to Bandwidth ratio should be atleast 1:10

We for example have a 1:40 ratio on our packages.

The prices are ok I guess, if you pump up the bandwidth a bit.

Also, It's not much point having that much storage, as most people will never need that much.

My Suggestion:

Money Saver
$2.99
500Mb of Storage
5GB Bandwidth

Basic
$3.99
1GB of Storage
10GB Bandwidth

Standard
$5.99
5GB Storage
50GB Bandwidth

Deluxe
$6.99
10GB Storage
100GB Bandwidth

Ultimate
$14.99
50GB Storage
500GB Bandwidth

Also, what you can charge depends on a lot of things.
How many domains can a customer host, how many subdomains, how many databases etc etc...
What Control Panel will you be using...
There are a lot of things to concider when pricing the packages.

Uhh... a dedicated server for $15... yeah... I'm sure people will take you seriously. It's not possible to offer that package for less than $50 unless you're overselling, in which case you wont last 6 months.

I think the prices are not real :(
The hosting company will put LOTS of clients on the same server in order to make a small profit. You might have a slow server response and slow connectivity.
