Hi
I hope someone can help as Im new to this and not really sure what ive done wrong.

I registered a domain with 123reg.co.uk and have set up hosting with another company and uses HELM control panel.

I have uploaded my site to the server ok and pointed the nameservre to the host on 123reg - however when i go to my site it doesnt come up. So I have put my site to the temporary url that my host provided. Is there something I havent done or is it to do with the 24-48 hr period you have to wait.

All replies much appreciated!

Well that temporary url is used just so you can preview your files while your DNS information gets refreshed. It depends on your ISP how long it takes for the DNS settings to take effect. So yes the answer to your question is that you do have to wait 24-48 hours.

Its nothing to worry about, its all standard. As long as you done as your web hosting company has told you, you will have no problems at all.
