Dragon Server "Help"

ok, I have decided to host my own FTP server and I have a friend who uses Dragon Server and it works great for him. I tried using it and its just not working for me 
I have no idea how to get it to work, I have created profiles, I have set my home directory and fiddled around with th VFS system a little and just cant seem to be ale to figure it out... help would be greatly ppriciated
