Hi all ,

I've created login.php recently. I've uploaded it to the remote server- godaddy.com
But it doesn't work as it is in my testing server. Can anyone actually share if they experienced
this problem as well?

Currently, I have IIS7, PHP,MySQL installed and configured rightly in my local server.

No problem whatsoever.

The only part now is getting my host to connect to my database. I've come across a jungle of
solutions ever since.

phpMyAdmin local developer ( not installed yet)
phpMyAdmin2.9.1.1 remote site (available in godaddy as i created the database within the host)

I don't know what I'm missing. Could I go on without installing phpMyAdmin local developer ?

Am I supposed to connect strings to the external database I created in MySQL command line client ?

Do I need to import SQL files ?

Any helps is greatly appreciated

Thank you very much

Make sure that your MySQL database settings in your script are matched with godaddy. For example, on godaddy they don't give you access to their localhost therefore you will have to put in their unique host id. you can find it if you click on the details of the database in your user control panel found on the godaddy web site.

I thought i'll have 2 different passwords , one from my local site ,and another is from godaddy host.

cuz the one in my computer is MySQL command line client. while the host
has a different type of password. godaddy-mysql . right ? i don't think that's the issue. I now contemplate if I need to install a local phpMyAdmin developer. will it make a difference ?.
