Email error

I know It may be the wrong forum but I am desperate. Where I work as a tech we have our mail hosted by a third party and all of a sudden we are getting the following message and can not send mail It's been about 16 hours now.

"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Service unavailable; Client host [216.16.224.195] blocked using relays.ordb.org; ordb.org was shut down on December 18, 2006. Please remove from your mail server.. Please verify that your address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again."

None of our providers has a clue and nothing has been changed.

If any one actually understands this stuff I would greatly appreciate a response

Your mail service uses relays.ordb.org as it's blacklist host; that service was shut down and no longer routes.

It is most assuredly your mailhost's responsibility, unless someone on your end set that up via some portal command shell (i.e. cpanel, etc.).

Check via your company's hosting panel to see if blacklisting services are enabled.

Thanks. This is what I have been thinking but ourprovider claims not and now the problem has mysteriously gone away but no one claims to have fixed it.

I really would like a clear answer but this may be all I get
