Finding Host for Virtuan Pet Site

I need to find a host or whatnot for a virtual pet site like http://www.neopets.com or http://www.furry-paws.com. I'm not sure what they use or how much it costs, but I need to know where the best place to go would be for such a large site. Virtual Pet sites require lots of space and lots of room for user traffic, so I'll need something that can handle that.

This site will also have to be able to have member email within the site. (One member sending a private message through the site) I don't know if you have to code this into the site or if it comes with the host.

Almost all webhosting companies can offer what you are looking for, try to get a list of the webhosting companies you prefer and send them an email with one or more questions to see how responsive they are, support is very important.
