Hey everyone, this is my first post.

I have a question and have not been able to find an answer after quite a bit of searching the net.

There is a domain name I want, and when I go to it, it says "this website is parked free, courtesy of godaddy".

I assume this means that someone let the site expire and godaddy is buying them time. I want the domain, is there any way I can get it now? Can I just buy it from godaddy even though they say it's taken?

Thanks!

I'm going to be launching my new site real soon, when I do I'll probably be posting on this site for review, I look forward to comments!

You can first try by contacting them. Maybe they would be able to think of something.

GoDaddy offers free domain parking for every domain purchases through them. A parked page usually indicates that someone has purchased the domain through GoDaddy but has not done anything with it yet.

You can always do a WHOIS query on the domain to get in contact with the owner.

Rujira_k, read the original post. He doesn't own the domain name, he just wanted to know if someone else does.
