I had an idea - I need you recommendation

I came with this idea:

I am a Musician and I thought I could "rent" webspace to other musicians.

I mean, I can sign up with a hosting company (I was thinking Lunarpages) with an account with plenty of space, plenty of ADD-ON domains, and I could even register the domains myself. I could ask them for 3 possible names, I then register one in godaddy and they pay me a year fee for, let's say 100Mb of space and the domain name. I give them the ID and Password to upload their website.

What do you think?

Any recommendation aobut any Hosting Company, Any Registar for the Domain? any other thought?

Understand that what you're wanting to do is a very crowded market.

Another thing to consider is, what is it about what you offer that would make someone choose to pay you, over doing somthing like creating a free page on MySpace ?

If you want to start reselling you can opt for a reseller account from a reputed hosting company and resell hosting accounts on your server. Hope you find the best:)

Well if you are going for a reseller account, my recommendation is hostgator. Even my site is hosted there and I have very first hand experience with Hostgator. They are the best among all the hostings I have tried and tested.

The planet does in fact offer affordable servers, but if your not tech savvy, it will be a huge cost!

Why not let musicians signup for free or really cheap hosting and have them as a subdomain of your site?
