Help

I am having a huge problem. I was playing around with my site yesterday and now I can't get into my cpanel and no part of my site will load for me at all. All I get is this page can not be displayed.

I figured it was just down, maybe I went over my bandwidth, but other people can get it.

It has been like this since yesterday and this entire time people can get on it except for me. At the same time even we both try to go to the page and I can't get it but they can.

What could make it do that?

I too can bring it up fine. I would suggest bringing this up to your host to see if they banned your IP or something by mistake.

Oh ok so if my ip was banned I wouldn't be able to log in at all or even bring up the site?

I'll e-mail the host again and ask if they can see if this is the problem.

though this may not be your issue - try accessing your dos prompt and enter the following coomand:

ipconfig /flushdns

reboot your PC and see if the problem persists..

If it does, contact your host...

Thats right. Some hosts (like us) will ban peoples IP's after so many login failures. This helps prevent people from trying to guess at someones password all day.

With us, after 4 failed attempts to login to your control panel properly, your IP is banned for 6 hours. All of our customers can contact us via our support site and we will remove the ban if they messed up 4 times in a row.

jmweb lol that might be the problem. I was kindof playing around with ftp and subdomains and trying to make an account so that someone else could log in, and it was very confusing and it kept saying that I couldn't connect with that login, I didn't have permission. So maybe I was banned oops.

I contacted the host and just waiting for them to get back to me.

Its a terrible feeling not to be able to log in to my own site!!
