I have recently installed Win2000 on my home computer and It wont let me log on to my FTP using a starderd browser (Windows Explorer 6)

Is the problem windows or the explorer

I type in

FTP://(Username)@(Domain name)

Is this a minor problem?

for FTP, you're better off using a dedicated client like FlashFXP or something...

Web browsers are for the web... they usually don't handle FTP too well (perhaps the FTP server has even blocked web-browser clients from connecting?)

Maybe your browser's just screwed :)

Can you connect using a real FTP client?

I'd say I've never heard of it, hehe. I've been using FlashFXP for about 5 or 6 years now and I love it. Before that I was using CuteFTP.

Hope you checked for spyware after you installed CuteFTP, Axe

My recommendation is WS_FTP for windows:

Oh, this was 7 or 8 years ago, before spyware was even thought of, people I knew were still using WFW3.11 ;)

And I've had about half a dozen new PCs since then, so no spyware here :D
