Hey all.

Its been a while, i know.
Question that i bet comes up all of the time.
My contract with my hosting company is due for a renewal. Like most things, you shop around at this point.
I been with Lypha for 5 years now. I fancy a change.

I only really host 1 site at the moment. I have been to busy to focus / work on the others. This may change soon.
The one site has been running itself, an information website (clubfeet.net)

I work in PHP4, but I think they will work with PHP 5 as its mainly SQL Updates.

Current Bandwidth (1 website) = 25G (Need to look why this is high)
Current Diskspace = Just over 1G
Monthly Avg unique hits = 10,000 (Didn't know I was getting that many hits, could explain the Bandwidth)

As you can see, I need a reliable hosting company as I am planning on a new website soon which should be double the above for itself.

Any recommendations?

I just switched to Ozzu hosting today. :D

I would definitely look into that bandwidth usage. For me, 25G of bandwidth would be a LOT for 10K monthly visitors. At least 5X what I would expect. I average 10 page views per visit. I keep my pages pretty lite though.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

Hi
Cheers, looking at hosting costs
I am being offered the following
unlimited (within reason) storage
Unlimited (within reason) Bandwidth
Unlimited Domains / Parking / Sub Domains
99.998% uptime
$6.95 a month

They have a cheaper package which is something like 150GB storage, 1,500GB Bandwidth and lower domains / SQL / Emails for $3.95

With regards to my Bandwidth, I have a FLV video which takes up about 94% of my bandwidth on one website.

Can recommend you have a look at hosting plans which hostpebble, bluehost and a2hosting. These companies have offered plans which have all necessary scripts and resources to run web sites successfully and I do hope that this info will be useful for you.

You know, hosting any FLV files you have on something like Amazons S3 might not be a bad idea. :)
