Is HOSTWAY a good provider?

I'm looking to host a dedicated server with Hostway, but I don't know anything about them except for what they tell me (And of couse they only tell me good things). Does anybody know if they are a good host?

I've used them and there were lots of thing's didn't like with them.

#1 problem was their email servers were super slow
and they didn't have a spam solution. they did get one when i was about to leave but they charged a whole bunch extra for it.

#2 i hated their control panel.

#3 their prices where on the expensive side


now you were wanting to get a dedicated plan with them. so you're most likely to have a completely different experience with them.

the good thing about them was their reliability. my site only went down once in the 2yrs i was with them.

SSH-Raj: What did you think of the speed of their servers? And how was their customer support?

If your exploring other options as well I would checkout sv1.us - I have had great experiences with their dedicated servers.

server speed was slow i was on a shared server though.

customer support was good. i could actually call and talk to someone if a need help.

My site was ALWAYS down and support never responds

I'm happy with http://www.LessHost.com

Search in Google for 10 providers and mail them for your needs, observe their response for that and decide the best among those.

Do not host with SV1 hosting as they are just a one man by the name of Seth , running the whole show.

I am posting this becuase I has very bad experience with this hosting.
So just stay away.
