How can i use my full bandwidth?

is there any way of using my full bandwidth because i have 512k but when i download stuff the max speed it downloads at is around 50-60k. it is all a big con really.

If you mean that you are downloading files in the browser and the download window reads 50-60K, that's probably about right because I'm pretty sure the browsers list downloads in Kilobytes, while communications speeds for ISPs are listed in Kilobits, so if you want your downstream speed in bytes you have to divide by 8. There's also a certain amount of overhead, so even under ideal conditions you never quite get the maximum speed.

Anyway, if you want to test your connection and have a java-enabled browser go to dslreports and run one of the speed applets.
