I want to set dedicated/static IP for a site in WHM, lets say here is the ip lists :
1.1.1.0 (Main shared IP, ns1)
1.1.1.1 (ns2)
1.1.1.2
1.1.1.3 -> i want choose this as the dedicated/static IP
1.1.1.4

i already go to whm > Account Functions > Change Site's IP Address > choose the domain > and choose ip 1.1.1.3

so what next?

i try opening 1.1.1.3 in browser's address bar but its still say :
Default Web site page cpanel
If you feel you have reached this page in error, please contact the web site owner

the ip 1.1.1.3 should be redirected to the site directly, what part do i miss?

You can't use that IP as a static IP. You need to learn the difference between external & internal IP address & what blocks can be used. Read RFC 1700.

You can assign an IP to a particular domain but you need to make sure you have set the account/service up to use a static IP as well.

When I look up 1700, I'm told that 1700 is obsoleted by 3232.

http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1700
http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3232
Strong with this one, the sudo is.
