Upload your files to awardspace.com first so your site is ready and available before you make the transfer.

Go to your domain name registrar (I'll assume you used godaddy). Log into your account and change the name servers from godaddy's name servers to awardspace.com name servers. (awardspace.com can provide you with their name servers.

It should propogate within 24-48 hours.

You can check the status by doing a whois lookup for your domain name
http://www.geektools.com/whois.php

When you see the name servers have changed from godaddy to awardspce, you'll know the transfer has been completed.

Then you can cancel your godaddy account.

*note: on the new site at awardspace check all internal links and every image and multimedia file on every page. If you were using relative links, you should be OK, but if you were using absolute paths, you may need to change some of the URL's from godaddy.com to awardspace.com

hi, in godaddy, go to the domain management. yes change the NS ip adrress.
however u need to make sure the domain is unlocked.

last time i tried to transfer domain through godaddy. you will need to contact your new hosting side as well. unless the domain setting at both side is never been lock.

i'm not sure what you are meaning.

you are asking if godaddy tried to prevent me from transferring?

i had technical problems with uploading the files at the end.

now i'm with godaddy.
