How do you make a forum for your website?

I think SMF is now comparable to PHPBB and soon to VBulletin.

i donwloaded phpbb and all the pages are blank yet u can veiw the code? whats wrong there, how do i make it work?

After a lot of research i found the ultimate
"how to do it for dummies"
i tried it myself and boy does it work
surg.ifastnet.com/MyBB/

Step 1
Register yourself a free website on ifastnet.com

Step 2
Log into your control panel

Step 3
Go to the last link zantastico

Step 4
In front of MyBB hit "click here"

Step 5
Follow online instructions

But you need MySQL to do it.

right i have been looking for a forum that i can pu tonto my website, but i have looked at vulletin but the porblme with that is that it costs alot ... has anyone got any other ideas where i can get a forum to put on my website?
