Hi there,

Ive recently been given the task by my superior to install phpmyadmin to a online iis web server with 60ish sites running off it. Im sure i can handle the config.inc.php, the problem im having is that i cant get phpmyadmin to be recognised at all when i goto http://localhost/phpmyadmin ive put the folder in the web root and also tried other thought directorys, do i need to configure iis at all, similiar to how php is installed. Im probably missing something i have tried, however this task is not on the highest of to do lists but does need some progression, im starting to think i got passed this task because the head techy is stumped :).

Thankyou in advance

Geoff

Ps why couldnt it be apache, :( its alot easier

first of all, IIS is case sensitive. by default it would be http://localhost/phpMyAdmin (unless you altered the case of the directory)

Try http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/index.php

That should at least recognize the file and if nothing else throw an error if not configured properly.

By default, IIS has no idea what php or index.php is. You have to add index.php as a default extension and perhaps move it up a bit on the priority.

Read through the instructions here
http://www.webmasterstop.com/123.html

Especially the documents tab part and make sure index.php is added and move it up in priority as needed as per the last couple screen shots.

Sorry my instructions are a bit sketchy. I answered this one on the fly.
