Hey all.

Just installed Awstats on our live web server, as testing went fine.

We have recently updated our website and have noticed some 404 errors from people who are navigating to old pages.

Our current 404 handling is "out of the box"

I want to re-direct the users to our home page, as it looks nicer than a 404.
BUT
I still want the 404 hits to be recorded so I can monitor it.

How would I go about doing this?

Hi,
This post seems to be very old, and found it strange that why no-one has replied it... Its alright, solution is simple.
Open your IIS 6.0 >> Computer >> Web sites >> Right click yourdomain.com >> Properties >> Custom Error >> Look for 404 >> Edit >> There you'll get 3 options on it >> a) File b) URL c) default >> Choose URL >> Provide the path which you want to redirect... Generally its set to be home page path...
