I'm looking into hosting for the internet radio community...

I see that most hosts charge by the concurrent user. How do they determine this? Is this really necessary?

I would think that the end user would be more interested in the amount of bw he/she could have each month. However, I think that many end users do not know how much bw they use but do know how many concurrent users they have... is it that the hosts are making it simple to the user by packaging per concurrent user?

Many more questions but maybe somebody can break it down for me before I show my ignorance of shoutcasting in general.

I have a decent knowledge of the various aspects of hosting (have several accounts now) and have a dedicated server for my own websites but looking to break into this niche just enough to cover some costs....

Anyone with internet radio hosting knowledge out there?

thanks in advance for sharing...
