Have been with my current provider 2+ years. It seems that they are now overselling there servers.

What my concerns are:

1.) Stable and constat bandwidth
2.)5G storage min + 100G Band min
3.)performance based servers ie not overselling.

Am currently on a shared host platform. am willing to take the plunge for a VPS (for hardware consideration)

Most of my site is geared towards movies of various types.
Please view my site and let me know if your company can support my needs.

The url is -> http://www.gotcanyons.net

Price range caps at 15.00 for Shared platform per month.
Price range caps at 25.00 for VPS per month.

Please PM with any offers

Thank You

Not possible to get those resources at that price without overselling.

So what am i expecting to pay for those type of resources? If anything i can always slim down the site by 1/2 size storage size still need at least 75 Gig band.

Is there some sort of formulation to find a performance based provider ?

IE each gig(storage)= $
or each gig (band) = $

Hi Tumbleweed,

Although there is no "set" equation - anything from $0.50/GB to $2+/GB is fairly indicative or no overselling or at least not dramatic overselling.

I would suggest taking a look at:

monsterhosting.ca
digitallyjustified.com

certainly not your cheapest options, but, the quality is there -

Hello,

You may want to take a look at http://www.powervps.com - Although I have no personal experience, I have heard some good things about them...

I personally think you should skip the VPS especially given your admitted lack of knowledge regarding the same. VPS will give you way too much control to be fiddling with absent a clue. I think a Semi-Dedicated and/or large virtual plan in the $60/month range would be your best bet.
